Miss me? Yes yes...

Oh I'm good! I went 2 months without bloggin, hahahahaaa...

I've been rather busy! I swear! After my last post which was...hmmm.. May 7th... I went back to the States for a month to see my cousin, Kendall, graduate from highschool. After a week and a half in Washington, my Dad, Uncle Time and I drove down to California.. for the length of that drive, seriously, I could've flown back to Belgium, lol! It took 19 HOURS to go from Centralia, Washington to Salinas, California. Ugghhhhh.. atleast I got to spend time with my family and friends in Salinas / Monterey for a few weeks :)

Tell ya what... while I was stateside, I did some major retail damage, lol. I shipped four massive boxes of stuff back to Belgium since it's harder to get ahold of "the comforts of home" without either having to travel a good distance for it, or I'm gonna have to pay through the nose for it. The exchange rate really kills me when it comes to buying stuff off the economy.. right now, it's $1.40 for one euro.. that SUCKS! Atleast I was able to load up on the rest of "The Wire" (seasons 3, 4, 5) since it seems to be impossible to find in all of our BX's between The Netherlands and Germany, geesh!

Once I was back in Belgium, Eric went on a two week TDY to Germany about a week after my return. It wasn't really all that bad since I kept myself occupied with other things, getting the house straightened up since him and John decided to DESTROY it during the month I was gone. UGH! Halfway through his TDY, I was able to make a trip over to where Eric was staying and visit him during the weekend. It was really nice cause it was just him and I ...no dogs, no kid (I love him to death, but I need some US time) and we got to venture around a little bit. During the trip, I was able to meet up with Miss Nikki, a gal from the support group I run. That was ALOT of fun and had a great time hangin out with her. Eric and I took her out to "The Big Emma's" which is an amazing German restraunt that's outside of Ramstein AFB. I HIGHLY reccommend it to anyone who visits the area. I think we're actually gonna hit it up this weekend when we go back to Ramstein.

Eric and I just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary on Monday (7/27), and we'll be heading off to Germany on Saturday to pick up a nice Oak German Schrunk I managed to score a deal on. Normally, those buggers are INSANELY expensive, but I found one for $500. I suppose you can call it an anniversary present to ourselves, lol. Five hundred bucks verses one thousand euro.. I'll take that ANY day! By the way, a Schrunk is a very large wardrobe that Europeans use as a replacement for a closet... they dont have actual closets like American homes. The particular piece we're picking up is 7 feet tall and 9 feet wide and is about 3 feet deep.. nice hunh? :D The same weekend that I was visiting Eric at Ramstein, we managed to find a Turkish Rug store and picked up some AWESOME rugs for the house! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE 'em! Eric managed to haggle with the guy so we got a good deal on it. OH! And when Eric came home from his TDY, he surprised me with a Turkish Puzzle box (it's hard to figure it out so it'll open), as well as a GORGEOUS Turkish Trunk that's hand carved. It's a great conversation piece in the living room :)

Here's the Turkish Puzzle Box and then the Turkish Trunk

Ok, I think that's enough for now...lol. It's hurtin' my head to think of all the stuff that's been going on in the last 2 months, hahahaa.
