Alrigthy, I'm currently chilling in Stefanies house while she's off being Lil' Miss Photographer for an engagement shoot. SO! I'm going to take advantage of my downtime to hammer out a bloggy post :)
I arrived in lovely Santa Maria yesterday in which Stef told me to make myself at home since she was still at work. Honestly, it should be against the law to have meetings on Fridays. Word. While I was waiting, I poked around (within reason) since she always posts pretty pictures of her oober cute house. Turns out the Belgian trog I sent her is officially Chases toy bowl (totally works for it!) and she even made a "Welcome Basket" for Piper and I! How nice!!
Hotel a la' Shatley!
Now, one of the main concerns we had about me coming was the fact that I have Piper while Stef has Chase. I think it basically boiled down to: are the puppies gonna get along? From what she's mentioned, Chase had a bit of a rough life before he was adopted, so he has a tiny aggression issue with other K-9's...so of course that's a concern to me since Piper is only six months old and LOVES to play. She doesn't really understand the whole "give people space" concept just yet. Luckily, they hit it off REALLY well!! Stef actually got a lil video of it..prior to recording, they were running around like ferrets non stop, so of course when she started the video, they slowed down:
Ever since I've been here, they've been INSEPARABLE! Non-stop playing, rough housing or snuggling up to one another. When I asked Piper how she was doing, she said "MOMMYYYY can we keep him!?"
Look, this is literally how they're sitting as I'm working on this blog:
Stefanie and I have agreed to an arranged marriage since Piper & Chase are two peas in a pod...epic cuteness, I tells ya!
Eric and I moved away from this area a lil over two and a half years ago, and one of the major...MAJOR things I miss is Yanagi's Sushi & Grill. I actually worked a block away from there, so the staff got to know me pretty well since I'd get lunch almost every other day, lol. I LOVE sushi! So, since it's been so long since I've had any, Stef and I had a full blown splurge and ordered several different rolls to gorge on. Don't worry, we didn't eat all of it! In fact, I think three of the platters didn't even get touched, hahaa.
After we stuffed ourselves silly with sushi, I busted out me awesome Curlformers since I KNEW Stef was gonna fall inlove with them. I've attempted several times to do them in my hair, but I'm "girly challenged" and have a hell of a time when it comes to putting them in...sooo I got some practice in with Stefs hair :)
Instead of me attempting to remotely explain (correctly) how to use these, here's a video by the actual company:
I spent about an hour putting them in Stefs hair since hers is SO thick (lucky!)...this is how they turned out the next morning since she left 'em in all night long:
Awesome, right??
I ended up using the curlers on my hair this morning, but the results didn't come out as awesome as Stefs. Oh well, at least I got some volume! lol
After:
So yeah, that's just a short run down of whats been going on. Hopefully Stef will get here pretty soon so we can head up to SLO to do some shopping at Old Navy :)
