"What is done in vain, Truth is hard to swallow"
I guess I'll stop posting what my daily workout stats are...hell, I havent for the last couple of days so might as well keep it up. Since the start of the year, I've been busting my tail in the gym, doing my cardio and trying to improve myself...is that so wrong?
I'm getting rather annoyed with the fact that people ask me what my routine is, how far I've done on the cardio machines that day.. and when I tell 'em what I did, they get kinda.. ohh I dunno.. snobbish? Someone asked me yesterday how much I've done in general since I've started and I've racked up around 120 miles (give or take) and I get "You're just trying to show off" as a response. I mean, really? You think that's why I'm doing this? Puh-lease....that's not my intention what-so-ever. And lemme clarify... Their reponse wasn't like a joking / teasing tone either, it was in all seriousness. Thanks, I'll keep in mind to say "I dunno" next time you ask or just not answer you at all.
My Dad kinda hurt my feeling last night as well since he said it came off in my blogs that I was "showing off".. I'm not! I post my usual blog then toss my stats up at the very end. It keeps me on the straight and narrow, ya know? But whatever.. I'm just.. whatever right now. He said he's proud of me, which is awesome, but the lil jab about "showing off" bothered me... trust me, if I was showing off, you'd KNOW.
To the peeps who have been SUPPORTIVE, thank you very much! It's so incredibily appreciated and it's nice to know I have some cheerleaders in my corner. For the ones who are haters. how's about this... instead of investing your negative energy into being mean and spiteful to me and the things I'm doing to improve my life, put it into something more productive ...like working on YOURSELF.
Speaking of supportive... Mrs. Barb brought this by my work yesterday, how sweet is she? This totally made my day (she dropped it off after said person was jerky to me)! So, now it's hanging in my office :)

Freakin' A
Who ever invented wallpaper is a sadistic mo-fo.
Eric & I have been working on and off this afternoon with taking down all of this hideous wallpaper. Sure, we're only here for another two years..but the paper is freaking ugly and it NEEDS to go away. Not only that, but it's starting to peel off of the wall on it's own in some parts, so we'll have to take it down anyway. Luckily, I managed to score a wall paper steamer so it's kinda helping, but it's still alot of work :( We figured if we'd spend about an hour a day working on the hallway, we should be done by the end of the week...that's not including painting. We have to patch ALOT of holes in the wall since they were all hidden by the wallpaper, then sand it all down and then paint everything. BLAH.... This super sucks because you have to take the top layer off (the pink floral print), then you have to scrap off the part that had the glue on on it (the steamer won't work on the top coat!)
The white wall to the left of Eric is the actual concrete wall..the light beige color you see where he's standing...that's the paper part that's still on the wall :(

If you havent heard of Etsy..well..here ya go: http://www.etsy.com/ I absolutely LOVE that site cause I find some really cool stuff! Given, some of the things are pretty overpriced, but there's some stuff on there you won't really find anywhere else. Here's some candles I managed to score.. they'll go perfectly in those hurricanes I picked up from Party Lite a few weeks ago:
Oh yea! I'm officially down 10 pounds now! WOO! My pants are fitting looser and I'm feeling ALOT better! On base, they're starting a "Biggest Loser" program till July, so I think I'll sign up for it since it gives me lil incentives here and there. It's kinda funny though cause the same things you can win from TBL is the same stuff you can win from the Cardio Club (which I'm currently participating in). At this point, I've racked up 141 miles with the Cardio Club and I have another 110 to go till I get my first prize....which is a pen. Truth be told, if ANYONE tries to take my hard earned pen, odds are, I'd stab them to death with it considering all the hard earned blood, sweat, and tears it took me to get it, lol
Here's my stats for the week in total:
Miles: 25.75
Time: 6.45 hours
Calories Burned: 3,783

Busy Bee
I've been hittin' the gym every day this week, I swear. I just havent really had much time to seriously sit down and FOCUS on blogging. This week was kinda all over the place for me, and I don't know why. Between working out, running errands, working, then round two of the gym...by the time I'm home, it's quality time with John, then Eric gets home, then we're pretty much catching up with one another..then officially crashing out for the night just to repeat the entire cycle the very next day. It's just weird!
As Eric and I are sitting here and finally enjoying some much needed down time, we're watching the various little music channels that SkyTV has to offer. The British confuse me... then again, I'm sure Americans confuse them. Anyway, we were watching their Top 40 Countdown and some of the songs that were on the list are from the 80's. I thought Countdowns were supposed to have current music? Meh, it's Europe... Anyway, one of the songs that came on was "Don't Stop Believin'" by Glee and it was #2 on the countdown. Now.... I grew up on the version from Journey as well as Eric, so it caught both of our attentions when it was being sung by a guy & gal. Given, I know a few gals around here who absolutely ADORE Glee (the show) and I was being open minded about watching it, even though Eric is VERY anti-musical. He'll barely watch Moulin Rouge with me..and that's after I've bribed him. So, within the first 20 seconds of the song.. Eric wanted to toss the remote at the TV cause the girl that's singing some of the lyrics...I'll admit...she's got a fantastic voice, but the pitch is agonizing. Given, I'm a HUGE Journey fan..so hearing their song remade for a musical kinda kills me. Not to mention, the gal sounds like she's trying too hard to be heard. Meh...here's the video incase you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about..needless to say, I won't be watching season 1 of Glee, atleast while Eric's home.
Since we've been watching the music channel, it's atleast helped me add some more songs to my iTouch so now I have additional tunes to jam out to on the treadmill. There's alot of songs I've forgotten about! HA!
I'm sure I'll have more to blog about tomorrow cause in all honesty, I'm drawing a very large blank right now as to what I should write about :)

Eighty Four Point Seven Five
Today was my official wrap up for my first month of cardio as well as double days in the gym. I must say, I've been workin' my tail off. For the whole month, I've only missed one day of the gym (aside from my usual Sundays off), but I had a very legit reason for not going. My sinus infection literally drained all the energy I had to the point where I barely managed to go to work on Thursday. Despite missing a day, I managed to chaulk up 24 miles this week on the Elliptical. Woot woot! I totaled up all of my stats from this month and it added up to 84.75 miles! Hell yea!
My clothes are starting to fit better, I FEEL better.. sure, it's alot of hard work, but atleast it's starting to pay off. As of now, I've lost 8lbs since the 4th of the month. Somethings better than nothing, right?
My cardio stats for the week are:
Distance: 24.75 mile
Time: 6.10 hours
Calories Burned: 3606
Cardio stats for the MONTH:
Distance: 84.75 Miles
Time: 21.25 hours
Calories Burned: 12,363

*snort*
The picture above kinda illustrates how I feel right now. Given, I'm not on a sandy beach somewhere & soaking up some much needed sunlight...but more or less: I'm exausted, wanting to sleep alot and my face feels all smushed up like a Pug. I'm pretty positive that I have a sinus infection since I have all the tell-tale signs....and it super sucks.
