Aachen, Germany

Eric and I were able to make today a "Date Day" since it was "Family Day" on base..meaning he had the day off. SCORE! John ended up still having school.. so rather than us be couch potatoes, we took advantage of the free time and boogied on up to Aachen, Germany.  It's actually only 20 minutes further than where we go to the Commissary, so it wasnt that bad of a drive.

Here's ALOT of pictures from today :D Hope you enjoy!
In my last post, I talked about "The Body Shop" and their oil burners. Eric was really diggin' the one I have set up in the living room and wanted to check out the different scents. Well, we were puttin' around the store and I found another burner I wanted to get for our shower room since it'd go with the colors in there.. but mainly.. that room smells like old man all the time and I hate it, lol. No matter how much febreeze I use, the smell doesnt die! Eric found an oil that smells like clean linen / cotton, so we figured we'll use that for the shower room. I asked the clerk about the burner and she said they don't sell that particular model anymore, so, she said I could have it for FREE. Say what?? She double checked with the Manager and he even said I could just have it since they didn't have any in stock anymore and they were just going to toss it anyway.. nice score hunh? :D I ended up getting a few more oils and some amazing Vitamin E Body Butter stuff (HIGHLY reccommend it) and we rolled out of there before I could do some additional retail damage.
There was a store went into called "Oil & Vinegar"... it was freakin' AWESOME! It had different containers mounted on the wall with the specific regions of Italy the olive oils came from. They also sell these Granite Mortars there (only 16 euro!!) and there's a ton of different herbs and spices you can buy for 'em to crush up your stuff. I've been looking for one as a decoration piece for the kitchen, so I was really stoked to find it there. SUPER HEAVY! We also managed to pick up this orgasmic pesto mix that's to die for!
